Preparation phase
During this preliminary step the ovaries are being prepared for the stimulation. The aim is to mobilize the maximum number of follicles with similar stage of development. This is achieved with hormonal medications, for example contraceptive pills.
The time is also suitable for performing some additional diagnostic procedures of both partners required before the start of the IVF treatment.
